Food Waste Tips for your Organics Cart

Helpful Tips
Containers must be placed out the night before or by 5:00 a.m. the day of collection. Collection services is made at each house once a week.

The container/s should be placed 3ft apart from each other. Containers should not be placed within 6ft feet of any obstruction (car, boat, or other). This causes interference for the refuse trucks accessibility to service the container. Do not overload cans or place bulky/heavy items into the containers (such as pieces of concrete, large tree limbs, appliances, or other construction waste). The lid of the container must be closed to avoid wind blowing debris, stray dogs scattering debris, it also helps to eliminates odors, it helps to minimize the attraction of flies, and prevents spillage during collection.  The emptied container must be removed from the street the same day of pick-up.
